this decade were run in the trials.

200 Meter Dash
Williamstown's Andrea Chidester takes this one, too, beating the field by nearly 0.7 seconds.
Trinity's Brianna Kerekes and Clay-Battelle's Sydney Rush also ran under 27 seconds.

One of my predicted placers scratched the event to bolster a relay.
RunWV's Current Score: 10 of 12.

Cassidy, Williamstown's Cami Mossor, Richwood's Breanna Mazella, Cameron's
Sarah Smith, and Williamstown's Annie Lacour. At the end of 2 laps, Drazba came through
in 2:25. Carroll had moved into 2nd place in 2:38. Frey was in 3rd, just ahead of Brewer and Cassidy
as the trio crossed in 2:41-2:42. Mosser was 3 seconds back with Smith right behind. Mazzella
was a couple seconds off the pace. Lap 3 saw Drazba cross in 3:40. Carroll still had command of
2nd with a 4 second lead over Frey and Cassidy. Brewer was 2 seconds behind that with Mossor and
Smith two seconds behind Brewer. Drazba powered home for the easy win. Cassidy used a big last
lap to move into 2nd with Frey moving up to 3rd. Carroll held onto the 4th spot. Mossor and
Smith both made the move past Brewer on the final lap to close the scoring. Drazba's stellar

Sarah Smith, and Tucker's Ashley Cassidy close behind, all within 1 second. At the half-way
mark, Drazba was at a 5:09 and had opened a lead of 49 seconds. The battle for 2nd was still
brewing with all five girls still there. Carroll and Brewer cross just ahead of Frey each in 5:58
with Cassidy and Smith crossing in 5:59. This group had gotten away from the rest of the field.
Lap 5 saw Drazba open her lead to 58 seconds as she crossed in 6:35. Brewer had moved into 2nd
place and opened a 2 second gap on Frey, who had moved into 3rd, and Carroll, who was holding 4th.

taking 3rd with a final surge. Carroll outdistanced Smith in the final stretch for 5th. Smith
was over 25 seconds ahead of 7th place. Drazba's 10:59.09 clocking broke her existing Class A

legs from Ali Johnson and Cami Mossor, respectively. St. Marys took the lead at the end

Postlewaite sailed 16'5 for 2nd. Sarah Ferguson scored a 3rd for Doddridge, giving them
2 of the top 3. The top five eclipsed 15'. In a rarity, all six of my predicted Long Jump placers
did indeed place.
RunWV's Current Score: 83 of 96.
Shot Put
Union's Tiffany Jones repeated as champion with a 34'9 toss. The edged Williamstown's
Courtney Taylor by less than 6 inches for the title. The front three threw at least 33'8
